Welcome to the Society of American Magicians Youth!

(formally the Society of Young Magicians (SYM)

Are you interested in learning how to do magic and entertain your family and friends with some amazing tricks? Are you seven through 17 years old? Welcome to the official website of the Society of American Magicians  Youth (S.A.M.Y), the young member program of The Society of American Magicians (S.A.M.), America's oldest magic organization.

Magic tricks and magicians are popular because of shows like America’s Got Talent, Fool Us, and Masters of Illusion. Could you be the next Shin Lim, Mat Franco, Eric Jones, or Kayla Drescher? If you have ANY interest in learning about or performing magic (even if you'd just rather perform for friends), you’ve come to the right place.

By joining S.A.M.Y, you'll have access to the official S.A.M. website and M-U-M, the official magazine of the S.A.M. The website also contains instructional videos, magic news, information about virtual meetings, and much, much more! Depending where you live, you may want to join S.A.M.Y. virtual assembly, or you may join a local S.A.M.Y. assembly, which will give you the chance to meet other young magicians and share magic and ideas with them.
