Parent Assembly 1 Names Magician of the Year

The Parent Assembly #1  of  the Society of  American Magicians named  Teddy Lee as its 2016 “Magician of the Year.” Mr. Lee a retired mortician, will celebrate his  43rd year as a magician at a special  award ceremony to take  place on May 7 at the 107th Annual “Salute  to Magic” the oldest continuing magic  show in the U.S. ,to  be held  at the Queens Theatre in New York.
Teddy Lee served the Assembly in almost every elected position including becoming its president  in 2000. Always ready to perform for charitable venues from churches to service clubs, community centers and block parties Mr. Lee is also  an authority on African - American Magicians, having produced three biographical calendars on the subject.  Teddy Lee was the first African American  president of the Assembly in New York and in 2005 was president of the Yonkers  Assembly # 194.  He also served as president of IBM Ring #26 in New York.
This  compassionate gentle man carries a full complement of  Birthday, Anniversary and Sympathy cards in his pocket  at all times “just in case” he meets someone  in need of one.
