WHY ATTEND THE S. A.M. NATIONAL CONVENTION?
An open letter to the Magic Fraternity
from PNP Andy Dallas

An Open Letter to the Magic Fraternity: from PNP Andy Dallas

Why attend the Society of American Magicians National Convention?

The Society of American Magicians National Convention is not just another magic convention. The SAM convention is our convention. It’s a celebration of our membership in the oldest and most prestigious magic organization in the world.

Respecting our "cabala" (M-U-M "magic, unity and might") mixed with our love for "MAGIC" and those who are committed to its performance and preservation, we have created a "UNITY" dedicated to working with all our "MIGHT" to maintain a positive image, an international network, a premier youth program, philanthropic endeavors and most of all pride in our organization and ourselves.

Yes our SAM celebration has all the trappings that make up most magic conventions; lectures, dealers, contests and wonderful shows both close up and stage. Our celebration exemplifies the very best in magic excellence. We also have youth events, informative sessions, special programs and the opportunity to personally get involved in the process that will take the SAM into the future.

As an organization we recognize those who have made outstanding contributions on our behalf or for the magic community worldwide. At our convention we celebrate these personal achievements that have made a positive impact on our organization or for all magic.

Most of all we get the opportunity to visit with long time friends and make new ones, network, participate in mentoring others and share our knowledge with those who have the same values and interests. Through our celebration and our fellowship we renew our enthusiasm for our craft.

Unlike most conventions that are me driven the SAM convention is about us, for us and a celebration in our collective effort that goes far beyond the individual. We have made the SAM a beacon that shines for magic and magicians everywhere. Now it’s time to celebrate! Make your plans. Reserve the space. See you in Buffalo, July 15-16-17-18
