April 10, 2006: First Vice Maria Ibanez announced the exciting list of S.A.M. Sessions (workshops) at the convention this year. Click here to listen to her blog. This listing is subject to changes and additions. In no particular order, here are the sessions so far:

The S.A.M. Contest of Magic Shows promise to be several of the highlights of an outstanding Convention, and YOU WILL be one of the Stars if you are selected to perform. Apply to The S.A.M. S.A.M. Magic Steamboat Cruise

August 22- The first 750 people to register for the 2006 S.A.M. Convention in Louisville, KY (July 12-15) will receive a free ticket for a magical cruise on the Ohio River's oldest operating steamboat. You'll also see some great river close up magicians in action. Save the date: Friday July 14. Rain or shine. Board at 3:00 pm , SAIL at 3:30 pm SHARP, return at 5:30 pm in time for dinner and the gala show. Don't be left on shore. Register now!

The first broadcast featured Maria Ibanez, First Vice President, and Coordinator for the S.A.M. Sessions, reviewing the successes in Boston, and talking about great new ideas for Louisville in 2006!

NOW PLAYING on the "S.A.M. International Podcasting Network": Dazzling magician Arian Black candidly discusses challenges for female pros in magic, the meaning of success, the hard work required, and some nuggets of wisdom for young people who are willing to persevere in the art of magic!

Arian is featured on the "All Gal Gala" show on Friday night, July 14 at the Kentucky Center Whitney Hall theatre, and will be on the special S.A.M. Session Panel Discussion, "Magic with a Feminine Touch", Wednesday July 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel.

Public tickets are on sale at the Kentucky Center for "Bargatze's Boys" on Thursday July 13; the "All Gal Gala" on Friday July 14; and the "Mac King Homecoming" on Saturday, July 15. Tickets are available at the Box Office 502-584-7777.

(The panel discussion with Arian Black and Luna Shemada is available only with a Convention Registration).
