Magic Week Missouri, St. Louis Assembly 8

October 25th: Last Saturday at 1:00 PM we had a great fund raising Magic Show for St. Louis Senior Center and the Human Development Corporation of Metropolitan St. Louis, St. Louis' Community Action Agency. The cash we raised will go to the St. Louis Senior Center and the food will go to HDC's food pantries.

Steve Corbitt, John Apperson entertained the audience with feats of prestidigitation and of course comedy. The kid’s reactions were as delighted, astounded and baffled, as were the rest of us. Why John could hardly get one young man to let go of the pretend string holding his tassels, or was it the tissels?

For his finally, John Apperson attempted to levitate the St. Louis Arch. I couldn't top that but, I did perform a version of the 6 card repeat with jumbo cards in honor of Steve Corbitt, who had to leave right after his show to perform yet another show elsewhere in St. Louis.

Magic Week Florida, Pensacola, SYM Y134

Halloween Bash hosted by the City of Pensacola at the Vickery Center in Pensacola Florida for a safe place for Trick or Treaters. Four members of the Society of American Magicians Assembly 129 and one member of the Society of Young Magicians SYM Y134 performed as an added attraction to the Centers Spooky Celebration. Performing were Harley Day, Perry Vath, Ben Vath SYM, Jim Studebaker and Beau Broomall.

October 25, 2008: Dave Rosado, Paul Creecy, Ney Austin, Bill Warren, Wayne Taylor, and Bob Albertson participated at an event held at the Grenbrier Branch of the Cheasapeake, Virginia Public Library, a free magic show for familie began National Magic Week. A highlight of event was the appearance of Chesapeake's mayor, Alan P. Krasnoff, at "half-time" to personally read and present a proclamation recognizing Magic Week in the city to MC/President Wayne.

Magic Week California

October 31, 2008: Douglas Slater worked an event called "Spooktacular Bash". It was organized to help hospitalized children.
